Domaine Marsal
Organic extra virgin olive oil

Our History
The Marsal family has been producing extra virgin olive oil since the 18th century. Our savoir-faire and a unique terroir allow us to produce an exceptional olive oil.
Our olive grove is nestled in the hills in the Catalan hinterland. The slope of the land, the ideal sunshine, the proximity of the sea and the quality of the soil make it a unique terroir, allowing us to create a typical oil, with complex aromas.
Our olive oil is the fruit of a long tradition of olive growing that goes back to the 14th century in our region. Our olive trees, several hundred years old, are treated with the greatest care. Our exploitation wants to be respectful of the environment and consequently, no chemical product is used. We have just been certified in organic farming since the fall of 2022.
Our estate is located in the village of El Perelló, in the south of Catalonia, in the province of Tarragona.

An exceptional oil
Our artisanal olive oil, first cold pressed, is a product made with passion by the Marsal family. We have been using our savoir-faire for over two centuries to offer you an exceptional product.
The olives are picked by hand and pressed the same day of the harvest in order to guarantee a very low acidity rate. The culture is free of pesticides and no additives are added to the final product.
We offer our customers two typical Catalan oils. The first one is a monovarietal oil, of the Arbequina variety, an olive that gives a very fine oil with subtle and delicate aromas. This sweet oil is characterized by very fruity aromatic notes of apple and banana.
We also offer our blend of Arbequina, Salivenca and Morruda varieties. This clever blend, produced with olives picked during the month of November, gives more character to our oil and more intense aromas. The ripening is between the green and the ripe fruitiness. This process allows our oil to develop a great aromatic complexity. We find at the same time herbaceous and vegetable notes, then the initial freshness in mouth gives place to the sweetness of the notes of almond, apple and wood.
The ardence of our oils is present, but delicate. The bitterness is discreet. These characteristics are the infallible sign to recognize a great olive oil.
